Arrangement of Kramat Jati Vendors Emphasizes Orderliness and Economic Sustainability"We are taking action today because many vendors are still selling on the sidewalk and violate public order," he said, Thursday (10/29).
He added that actions were taken to enforce public order and restore the function of sidewalks as facilities for pedestrians.
In addition to issuing written warnings, officers also secured various supporting facilities for trading activities that were left on the sidewalk.
"The items included tarpaulins, chairs, tables, crates, used wood, and other equipment. All of the confiscated items were transported by the Satpol PP truck to a warehouse in Cakung," he added.
Endharwanto urged vendors to stop using sidewalks as trading areas. He urged street vendors to use their designated trading locations to avoid disrupting pedestrian access or public order.
"This sidewalk is intended for pedestrians, not for selling," he emphasized.
